PEC, an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet, is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our Automation team at our Headquarters in Leuven. Your Tasks

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will lead a dynamic team that is responsible for Control Engineering ( (PLC/controllers programming, …) for our project solutions.

Your role entails overseeing both the technical and organizational management of our Energy Storage projects. This involves coordinating an international and multidisciplinary team of engineers specialized in mechanics, electricity, and electronics.

Your team’s scope of work includes:

• Developing factory automation solutions, project management of the full life cycle going from defining the requirements and design to implementation, integration and installation
• Providing technical advice and support concerning design, material choice, production methods, prototyping,…
• Ensuring a smooth transition from development to production phases
• Establishing and maintaining global relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has

• A Master’s degree in Automation/Control Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the control engineering field
• First experience with leading a multi-disciplinarian team
• The needed skills of the following:
  • PLC Software: IEC 61131 (Rockwell PLC)
  • 2D/3D CAD systems (AutoCAD, preferably Autodesk Inventor)
• Knowledge of the following is advantage:
  • Fieldbus systems
  • Robotics programming
  • Machine safety
